Candidates must have a BS, BA, or MS Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience. A CPA is preferred, along with strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with ERP systems.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong technical acumen, hands-on operational expertise, and the ability to thrive in a growing and changing environment. You will be responsible for managing the month end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, developing efficient accounting procedures and internal controls, and managing accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections teams.  The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.   Schedule: M-F, 7:30 – 4:30 PST Work Setting: Remote/Hybrid Pay: $90,000 - $105,000 Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises a team of 2-5 employees.   About the Position: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned as needed:  * Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for internal management and annual bank review. * Compile and analyze financial information to prepare necessary journal entries for properly stated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.  * Prepare/review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts; review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items. * Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. * Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency and policy compliance * Support tax compliance and filings as needed * Work with cost center owners to ensure accurate results and understand and address forecast variances. Communicate and summarize results through written and oral communications as needed.  * Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support financial initiatives and reporting accuracy * Contribute to process improvements and help scale accounting operations as the company grows while implementing and maintaining adequate internal controls.  * Perform special projects, ad-hoc reports, and analysis as required. Education and/or Experience: * BS, BA, or MS Degree in Accounting is required  * 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of private and public company experience is desirable; private accounting is required  * Background in public accounting is highly desirable  * Experience implementing Enterprise ERP and financial reporting systems preferred * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting and job costing methods   Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: * CPA is preferred   Computer Skills: * Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook. * Internet savvy to navigate both internal and external sites.  * Familiar with Sedona, the in-house accounting software is a plus.   Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job is 99% sedentary and it uses fingers, hands, arms when working with mouse, keyboard, monitors. Close vision and distance vision are necessary. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally will lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a remote setting, typically from a home office or other suitable location. The environment generally includes access to standard office equipment, reliable internet connectivity, and a quiet space conducive to focused work.
