For more information, visit www.gtt.net. Sr. Manager, Network Operations lead and direct the Network Operation Center (NOC) team land provide day-to-day oversight and management of data network. The scope of responsibilities includes management of a 24/7/365 mission critical Network Operations Center, including oversight of related infrastructure activities in all project phases beginning with requirements gathering through implementation, with on-going production and on-call support. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees and directs all aspects of the 24/7/365 mission critical Network Operations Center; including planning, designing, implementing, deploying, supporting and maintaining functions Hire, train, and develop Network Operation Center staff Exercises leadership and day-to-day management of NOC teams Serves as the senior-level escalation point for Network Operations Center that responds and resolves all operational issues Establishes high performance and optimized network operations center Oversees the management of service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and service providers Develops policies and procedures for all Network Operations Center environments Reports key metrics on Network Operations Center activity Manages and ensures compliance with regulations and other regulatory bodies Manages and oversees the maintenance of all assets for the Network Operations Center Provides strategic direction for growth with business plans for Network Operations Center capacity Supervises employees including selecting, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, and corrective action Establishes plans and policies for business disaster recovery plans Performs other related duties as required EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years’ experience in data center/WAN/LAN/telecommunication administration and network operations management 3+ of those years in managing NOC teams Must be comfortable and able to work overnight schedule, when needed Demonstrated experience implementing call center and contact center solutions for enterprise In-depth knowledge of the following: data center facilities management, data center backbone networks, server farms, large-scale storage area networks (SAN) and data center provisioning processes Degree in Computer Science, engineering, IT or related discipline, is preferred Experience developing and implementing operational plans, which may include budgets, processes and infrastructure methodologies Knowledge of methods and procedures for managing instrumentation and process control operations and troubleshooting Knowledge of telecommunications including SIP, PBX, ACD, CTI, voice engineering, call routing, and IVR programming PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constant computer typing and use of mouse. Near constant sitting at workstation. Use of telephone with or without headset.
