Cashier – Austin Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) Location: Austin, TX Pay: $16.50 per hour Schedule: Full-time (includes weekends & holidays) Staffing Agency: GSG Talent Solutions (Staffing for AHFH) • IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT* All applicants MUST be able to pass a drug test and a full background check. Applicants with pending issues that would prevent clearance will be disqualified. About the Role GSG Talent Solutions is hiring Cashiers for the Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Cashiers serve as the first point of contact for customers and help maintain a smooth, friendly shopping experience. Key Responsibilities • Provide prompt, courteous customer service • Operate the POS system and classify items accurately • Handle cash and card transactions • Follow pricing procedures and sold-item protocols • Support returns, exchanges, and paperwork as needed • Answer phones and manage customer messages • Restock counter merchandise • Assist other store departments as needed • Maintain clean and organized cashier area • Participate in inventory counts Qualifications • Must pass a drug test and background check • High school diploma/GED OR 2+ years cashier experience • Cash handling and customer service experience required • Strong communication skills • Ability to stand long periods and work weekends/holidays • Able to handle customer complaints professionally • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred Why Work with AHFH • Work for a meaningful, community-impact organization • Benefits: vacation, sick leave, health insurance, 401k • Employee discount at ReStore Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $16.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
