Qualifications / Skills for Maintenance Technician: • Good communication skills • Computer literate (outlook/property management software) • Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff • Strong organizational skills • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines • General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry) • General grounds keeping skills • Ability to manage emergency situations • Professionalism • Listening Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician: • Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors • Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items • Report violations of lease and house rules • Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met • Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies • Perform preventative maintenance duties • Maintaining excellent curb appeal • Follow policies and procedures • Grounds GSF Benefits: • Medical • Dental • Vision • Employee assistance program • 401K • Life insurance • Holidays • Vacation To learn more about GSF Properties, please visit our website at https://www.gsfpi.com/ Requirements Job Requirements for Maintenance Technician II: • Minimum of 4+ years of current and proven experience in multi-family apartment maintenance • Basic knowledge and experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, minor fixes such as patching a wall, fixing a doorknob, appliance repair, unit turnovers, and work orders • Basic familiarity with use of computers and technology. Navigate at a basic level within web-based applications • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. • Able to work as a team and independently • Ability to follow directions, handle constructive criticism and able to communicate well • Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
