Description GSF Properties Inc. is looking for a Floating Maintenance Technician in Bakersfield, CA. Come join a dynamic property management team! • *This position does require valid driver's license and must be able to travel between two properties in Bakersfield. Must have at least 2+ years of current and proven apartment maintenance experience and have a valid CA driver's license to be considered** Qualifications / Skills for Maintenance Technician: • Good communication skills • Computer literate (outlook/property management software) • Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff • Strong organizational skills • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines • General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry) • General grounds keeping skills • Ability to manage emergency situations • Professionalism • Listening Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician: • Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors • Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items • Report violations of lease and house rules • Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met • Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies • Perform preventative maintenance duties • Maintaining excellent curb appeal • Follow policies and procedures • Grounds GSF Benefits: • Medical • Dental • Vision • Employee assistance program • 401K • Life insurance • Holidays • Vacation To learn more about GSF Properties, please visit our website at https://www.gsfpi.com/ Requirements Job Requirements for Floating Maintenance Technician: • Minimum of 2+ years of current and proven experience in multi-family apartment maintenance • Able to work independently and follow directions • Basic understanding of light maintenance and the desire to develop those skills • Excellent customer service • Ability to work well as a team • Able to drive in Bakersfield • Must have valid CA driver's license • Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (40 hours per week)
