Manage agile ceremonies, coordinate releases, and facilitate communication across engineering teams to ensure smooth feature delivery.

You'll serve as the organizational backbone of our engineering organization at Jove. As Engineering Project Manager, you'll wear multiple hats - product owner, scrum master, and coach - ensuring smooth delivery of features while facilitating collaboration between engineering, product, and design teams across two development squads. What You'll Do Act as product owner, scrum master, and agile coach for multiple engineering squads Facilitate daily standups and bi-weekly sprint planning sessions Coordinate release schedules and feature deployments across squads Work with Product Managers and Designers to refine requirements and user stories Meet regularly with Director of Engineering and Staff Engineers on strategic planning Manage project timelines, dependencies, and roadmap communication Track progress in Jira and ensure clear visibility into development status Remove blockers and facilitate communication between team members Coach engineers and teams on agile best practices and processes Coordinate with QA Engineers on testing timelines and release readiness Bridge communication between engineering and other departments Who You'll Work With Report directly to the Director of Engineering Support two or more squads totaling 12+ engineers, 2 QA Engineers, and 2 Staff Engineers Meet regularly with the Director of Engineering and Staff Engineers on strategy Partner daily with Product Managers and Designers on requirements and priorities Collaborate with the leadership team on company-wide initiatives Coordinate across distributed team members in North and South America What We're Looking For Proven experience as a project manager, scrum master, or agile coach Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to facilitate meetings and drive consensus among stakeholders Strong written and spoken English (professional Spanish is a plus) Experience managing remote and distributed teams Comfort with technical concepts and engineering workflows Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on unblocking teams Experience with Jira, agile tools, and software project tracking Our Stack Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq Frontend: Hotwire (Turbo, Stimulus), React, Tailwind CSS, Material UI Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitOps Testing: Ruby & RSpec (unit/integration), Playwright (QA automation) Tools: Jira, Slack, Figma, Miro, Claude Cowork Approach: Trunk-based development, feature flags, daily deploys, two-week sprints, team retrospectives, risk assessments Onboarding & In-Office Expectations: Ability to work onsite at least three (3) days during the first week, followed by consistent weekly in-office presence throughout the first 90 days to support onboarding, training, and team integration.
