We use social analytics and machine learning to help suppliers in the alcohol industry optimize sales. Our platform processes billions of records and delivers insights through a robust SaaS product used by top-tier analysts and global brands. About Us We’re a fully remote team of 20+ distributed across the US. We care about capability over titles, value outcomes over process, and keep ego to a minimum. We collaborate tightly, move fast, and meet up in person a few times a year to recharge and plan together. We're looking for a strong Python Engineer who’s comfortable working across backend systems and data tooling. What You’ll Do • Design and implement internal tools and data services to power our product and teams • Build and maintain backend Python systems for data extraction, enrichment, and delivery • Partner with data engineers to interface between pipelines and APIs • Develop custom libraries and internal frameworks for data processing and automation • Write robust, tested, and well-documented code in Python • Own parts of our CLI tooling, orchestration glue, and internal developer UX • Work across teams to build clean, ergonomic interfaces between services and data workflows You Might Be a Fit If You... • Have 3+ years of Python development experience (real-world projects, not just scripts) • Are fluent in Python packaging, testing, dependency management, and performance tuning • Have worked with data—but think like a software engineer, not a data analyst • Are comfortable with SQL, APIs, and common data formats (JSON, Parquet, CSV) • Have experience building tooling, libraries, or dev-facing infrastructure • Enjoy solving ambiguous problems and turning them into reliable systems • Like working in a fast-moving, low-structure, high-trust environment Bonus Points For • Experience with ClickHouse, Postgres or similar • Familiarity with dbt, DLT, or Python-based ETL frameworks • Prior work with internal developer tooling or infrastructure Why This Role? • Work on creating high-demand solutions for high-impact problems • Help shape our Python ecosystem and internal tooling culture • Ship projects end-to-end in a lean, capable engineering org • Join a team that values autonomy, quality, and clarity First Step You’ll have an initial chat with someone from our team to dig into your background, share more about our work, and explore mutual fit.
