Role Overview: As a Tax Manager at GRF CPAs & Advisors, you will play a critical role in overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insightful tax planning and problem-solving to optimize their financial outcomes. What You'll Do: - You will review and manage the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns with precision and attention to detail. - You will communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on tax matters. - You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and stay current on tax law changes. - You will lead and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high-quality standards. - You will identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities. - You will collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. - You will manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of services. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and firm policies. What You Bring: - You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning. - You possess advanced technical knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles. - You hold a CPA license and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly. - You are proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. - Familiarity with estate and trust tax planning. - Experience in a hybrid or remote work environment. - Additional certifications such as Enrolled Agent (EA) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).
