Role Overview: As a Tax Manager at GRF CPAs & Advisors, you will play a critical role in overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and guidance to optimize their financial outcomes. What You'll Do: - You will review and manage the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. - You will ensure all tax filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. - You will communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on tax matters. - You will stay current with tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice and maintain compliance. - You will mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering professional growth and development. - You will collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. - You will identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation for clients. - You will assist in business development efforts by building and maintaining client relationships. What You Bring: - You have a CPA license and at least 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax. - You possess advanced technical knowledge in individual, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation. - You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - You demonstrate excellent communication and client management abilities. - You are proficient with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. - You have experience managing and mentoring a team. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with complex tax planning and consulting. - Familiarity with multi-state tax issues. - Prior experience in a hybrid or remote work environment. - Additional certifications such as Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
