GREGORY PACIFIC CORP. COMPANY PROFILE Gregory Pacific Corp. is a small commercial excavation and underground utility company based in Tigard, Oregon. Founded in 1990, we benefit from long-standing relationships with many general contractors. We keep our employees working full-time and year-round, with opportunities for overtime and occasional prevailing wage rates. Our projects are concentrated in the Portland metropolitan area, which also keeps our employees close to home. JOB DESCRIPTION Project Manager-Estimator is responsible for the complete administration of excavation projects from initial cost estimates to final completion. This position provides the opportunity to become the prime liaison between our senior Project Manager-Estimator in the office and our teams in the field, enabling you to become a vital part of our company operations. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management (CEM) or related field • Proficient at math and analytical processes • Organized, self-driven and detail oriented • Able to manage time and meet deadlines • Adept at using and learning relevant technologies • Skilled at reading and understanding project documents and drawings • Effectively able to communicate verbally and in writing • Physically fit and willing to work approximately 25% in the field • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record, reliable transportation • Able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings that include Marijuana • Authorized to work in the United States PREFERRED SKILLS • Thorough understanding of construction estimating and project management principles • Thorough understanding of underground utilities and excavation fundamentals • Proficiency or willingness to learn these technologies: • AGTEK for construction estimating, modeling, and take-offs • HCSS HeavyBid for estimating manpower and equipment costs • Trimble GPS for site modeling and grade positioning • Bluebeam for construction document handling and collaboration • Microsoft Office including Excel RESPONSIBILITIES • Interpret project plans and specifications to determine scope of work • Calculate costs of materials, equipment, and labor to produce accurate project estimates • Negotiate subcontractor and material pricing • Locate cost effective rock pits, dump sites and hauling solutions • Identify potential project design problems and communicate to Owners, GC’s, and Engineers • Create and submit professional bids meeting all requirements and timelines • Review contracts and insurance requirements • Obtain necessary permits, surveys and locates • Oversee project timelines • Attend project planning meetings • Communicate with job site superintendents to coordinate work and problem-solve • Communicate with job site foremen to produce monthly billings and change orders • Participate in field work to learn the excavation business first-hand PAY • $65,000 - $80,000 per year SCHEDULE • 8-hour shifts • Monday to Friday BENEFITS • 401(k) • 401(k) Matching • Health insurance • Vision Insurance • Paid time off COMPANY ADVANTAGES • Experience in all facets of Project Management and Estimating • Little to no travel required • Upward mobility • Time in the field • Small company • Side-by-side training from a professional with 30 years of experience FOR INQUIRIES PLEASE CONTACT: Gregory Pacific Corp.
