Job Description: Procurement Coordinator (2/17/26) About Us: Greenwise is a leading provider of landscape design, construction, and maintenance services in the Chicago area. Known for our attention to detail and exceptional customer satisfaction, we are seeking a motivated, quick-thinking Procurement Coordinator to join our team. Position Type: Full-Time Location: Evanston Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience) Reports To: Construction Manager Job Summary: The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth, uninterrupted flow of materials to our construction crews. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from inventory tracking to vendor coordination. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift daily. Any prior experience with Aspire, the business management platform we are using, would be of great advantage. Key Responsibilities: · Material Ordering & Logistics: Order, schedule, and track all landscape and construction materials to ensure they arrive on-site on time. Support field team's organization of incoming materials to minimize disruptions of workflow. · Sales Coordination: Support sales to find substitutes if necessary. · Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, scheduling deliveries to the yard or directly to job sites, and coordinating pickups with the field team. · Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conducting regular counts and restock, and ensuring high-use items are always in stock. Collaborate with the Inventory Control Assistant and field staff to ensure nursery stays organized, and plant quality remains optimal. · Catalog Management: Maintain and update the company’s sales catalog/pricing database, ensuring all material costs and availability are current. · Invoice & Purchase Order Management: Generate purchase orders (POs), review and approve vendor invoices, and reconcile them with packing slips to ensure accuracy and cost control. · Operational Support: Work under the Construction Manager to support daily field operations, resolve material shortages, find alternatives, when necessary, make weekly client call-downs, and ensure utility markings are being done on time. Required Skills & Qualifications: · Proficiency in Excel: Strong, practical knowledge of Excel is essential for tracking, reporting, and managing inventory spreadsheets. · Quick Study: Ability to rapidly learn new materials, vendor products, and internal purchasing software. · Fast-Paced Environment Experience: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. · Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of landscape materials, plants, hardscape products and Chicago's green industry is highly preferred. · Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through to ensure accurate orders. · Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiating with vendors and coordinating with crews.
