The ideal candidate will support the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, classroom management, and ensuring a safe and engaging space for young learners & explorers. Responsibilities • Implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. • Support children with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that encourages exploration and creativity. • Engage children in play-based learning activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development. • Monitor children's behavior and provide positive guidance to promote good behavior and social skills. • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative caregiving approach. • Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure the well-being of children at all times. • Assist with classroom management strategies to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all children. • Paperwork compliance. Requirements • Must speak English ; bilingual a plus • Basic computer skills required • Kind, patient, and attentive with children • Communicates well with parents, staff & children • Compassionate about the growth and development of young children • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented • Must complete and pass NYS background clearance • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments (preferred but not required). • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques. • Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members. • Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies. • Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and learning. • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the classroom environment.
