We're seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, and implementation of automation and control systems across multiple industries. This role offers broad technical variety, end-to-end project ownership, and the option to incorporate business development responsibilities for those interested in a hybrid technical/commercial path. Key Responsibilities • Design, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, instrumentation, and control panels. • Create, read, and edit logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, and P&IDs. • Develop PLC programs from scratch—primarily Allen-Bradley (MicroLogix, ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and PanelView HMI systems. • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in automated equipment; perform repairs and refurbish PLC modules, HMIs, and related components. • Lead or assist with on-site system start-up, commissioning, testing, and problem resolution. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate process and control design throughout the full project lifecycle. Required Qualifications • 2+ years of PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens), including building programs from the ground up. • 2+ years of experience programming FactoryTalk / PanelView applications. • Hands-on experience with site commissioning and start-up of control systems. • Strong background in process controls preferred. • Ability to perform full-cycle controls engineering: electrical drawings, panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and field commissioning.
