Manage transportation operations including strategic planning, cost control, vendor relationships, process improvements, and performance reporting to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics.
Requires 5+ years in operations or transportation services, knowledge of SAP and WMS, strong analytical and negotiation skills, leadership experience, and preferably a four-year degree.

As a Manager Transportation, you will ensure a Transportation department culture focused on people, safety, service, and cost through meaningful engagements with leadership and execution of all logistic operation strategies. In This Role You Will • Implement strategic planning and reporting methods to maintain and improve transportation and financial efficiencies and quality. • Manage the transportation of goods through the company’s supply chain process. • Ensure transportation operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet our business needs. • Support and manage transportation costs and budgets along with private fleet assets. • Manages vendor relationships and contracts supporting operations and distribution. • Analyze and evaluate order management processes to make recommendations to improve transportation processes, including open orders, open directs, and open transfers. • Create reports to evaluate overall transportation expenses (including overtime, labor, fleet, etc.) • Analyze branch efficiency in routing deliveries, monitors delivery reports, and makes decisions to reduce costs. • Review carrier metrics and KPIs to ensure on-time delivery and performance goals are met, and communicates insights and opportunities to management. • Develop standard operating procedures for Distribution and Replenishment, including freight planning. • Provide consultation, analysis, recommendations, and assistance to facilities in relation to transportation efforts. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs and drive internal operational efficiencies by fostering an action-based culture of continuous improvement and accountability. What You Bring To The Table • 5 or more years of experience in operations, and/or transportation services • High school diploma or GED required • Four-year degree preferred, or equivalent experience preferred • Certifications in fleet management preferred • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology and techniques • Knowledge of SAP • Advanced knowledge of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office • Negotiation skills • Analytical skills and data-driven decision making • Management in a matrix organization environment • Oral and written communication skills • Multitasking capabilities • Leadership, communication, and people development skills. • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate corporate programs Compensation Details: The expected base salary for this position is starting at $95,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
