Job Summary Summary Description Our premier destination marketing solutions power 1,000 destinations across the globe, including small towns, big cities and various types of venues. Those destinations use our CRM, web content management systems, and digital marketing services to attract tourists, conventions, and sporting events. The Destination Insights team works with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s) and Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVB’s) across the US and beyond to provide solutions to help them generate more interest and ultimately visitors to their market. We provide both technology products and strategic solutions in a consultative way to maximize the clients’ understanding and the solutions’ impact. This position will support the Granicus Destination Insights team in primarily three areas: a) technology product customer support, b) conduct basic research, and c) strategic project support Technology product customer support: Granicus provides several analytics tools that DMO organizations use for sales and marketing efforts. This position will work with clients of these products to help with onboarding, training, and product adoption. These products are analytical in nature, and so this position will need to leverage analytical skills to help support clients in obtaining maximum value from the products through answering questions, helping clients with queries, using the tools to help clients answer business challenges, etc. Operational Research & Data Support: This role will assist with day-to-day research tasks that support both internal teams and client-facing initiatives. Responsibilities include gathering information from online sources, inputting and organizing data, and helping uncover insights that inform destination sales and marketing strategies. The work is foundational but important, requiring attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strategic Project support: The Destination Insights team provides strategic services to DMO sales organizations, and this role will support that team with analysis of marketing and sales efforts, destination insights and economic impacts, research interpretation, reports, and presentations. Additionally, this person will work with our product team in contributing to analytical solutions within analytical software solutions Granicus currently has or will develop in the future. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating. Essential Function Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Work with customers to maximize value of Granicus’ sales technology solutions, including MINT+ and FuturePace Assist other team members in the development of analytical studies and solutions to increase effectiveness of meeting sales and marketing efforts, including customer targeting, customer segmentation, sales deployment, marketing optimization, and marketing ROI measurement. Interpret data, write reports, develop presentations, and make actionable recommendations Use information design concepts and principles to create effective presentations and other visuals that convey analytical results clearly and effectively, and subsequently present results to clients. Develop presentations and reports that is in an easily understandable format. Solicit customer feedback on technology solutions to provide input to Granicus product team on technology enhancements and new product development Approximately 50 percent of this position involves client interaction, 20 percent involves data analysis/research, and 30 percent involves working with internal Granicus team members Key skills include: Judgment Strategic Skills Pragmatism Resourcefulness Adaptability Customer focus Accountability Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment, both taking direction from and giving direction to teammates and also the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
