Manage and support student workers, handle escalations, assist with scheduling and operations, and ensure excellent customer service at Discover GCU.
Must be a full-time enrolled GCU student with minimum GPA requirements and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of the Discover - Student Worker position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the Discover team. Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions: Onboards, trains, and serves as point of contact for student workers supporting Discover GCU. Reports and when possible, acts to resolve complaints, concerns, escalations, etc., promptly reporting accidents, damages, etc. to the necessary parties. Works directly with the management team to work on special projects and administrative tasks such as scheduling, creating resources, and improving operations. Ensures through observation and involvement, that student workers are working to their full potential and delivering excellent customer service to Discover GCU visitors to ensure a productive and pleasant visit that assists prospects with their college decision. Ensures student worker conduct, uniforms and personal hygiene requirements are established, understood, and enforced. Collaborates with other Discover GCU team members and understands the functions of each, demonstrating an ability to exercise oversight and good judgment in decision-making when escalations or situations requiring attention arise. Must be available to work evenings and weekends, which includes consistent weekend and holiday coverage. Must be able to work extended hours, as needed, for Discover GCU. Must be punctual and committed to attendance schedule. Develops and shares ideas for improving the Discover GCU visitor experience. Demonstrates ability to communicate in a professional manner with all stakeholders, including Discover GCU visitors, their parents, employees, other departments, etc. Other duties as assigned.
