Operate and maintain brewing and cellar equipment, ensure quality standards, and assist with warehouse and event activities.

Reports to: Head Brewer, Operations Manager Locations: Camas, WA Washougal, WA Grains of Wrath Brewing is looking for a full time brewer to join our team. We are a small brewery in search of an individual that possesses a love for the craft and is excited to produce world class beer. This is ideally a dual role position that is involved in all aspects of beer production, including raw material handling, wort production, cellar operations, packaging assistance, and warehouse work. A few details of our brewing facilities: The Camas brewpub operates a 10 bbl, 3 vessel brewhouse. The cellar holds 10 x 20 bbl fermentation vessels and 10 x 20 bbl serving tanks. The Washougal production facility operates a 20 bbl, 4 vessel brewhouse. The cellar holds 5 x 60 bbl fermentation vessels and 1 x 60 bbl brite tank. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Brewhouse Operation: • Milling • Wort production • Cleaning and maintaining brewhouse equipment to company standards Cellar Operations: • Tank CIP and sanitation • Product transfers and carbonations • Yeast management • Dry hopping • Keg washing and filling • Packaging Assistance • Adhere to company SOP’s and quality assurance standards Warehouse and Delivery: • Product transfers between facilities • Raw material pickups • Distribution order managemen Events: • Occasional attendance to company / market events • Travel opportunities for regional market events/sales trips • Travel opportunities for out of market festivals Skills/Qualifications: • 21 + years of age • 3 years brewing and cellar experience is preferred. Brewing education is a plus, but not required. • Quality assurance/lab experience preferred. • Sound understanding of brewhouse and cellar operations. • Strong attention to detail, following SOP’s, and maintaining schedules. • Knowledge of general safety procedures and requirements. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues. • Willingness to have a flexible schedule and open to a variety of job responsibilities. • Ability to lift 55+ lbs., comfortable with heights, tight spaces, and hot/cold environments for extended periods of time. • Forklift/pallet jack experience Comp & Benefits • PTO • Paid holidays • Health Insurance • Educational/travel opportunities • Employee lunch at pub • Free Beer • Compensation offered to the applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
