At Grace Brown Development, our workers perform a variety of jobs during all phases of construction and remodeling. We’re looking for a highly productive and reliable construction workers to join our team. The role entails a wide range of tasks, from basic to more experienced. These may include clearing and preparing a site; building scaffolds, general plumbing, framing, painting, and other general construction responsibilities; and operating power tools, jackhammers, saws, drills, and more. Objectives of this role • Finish general construction tasks • Assist craft workers such as contractors, electricians, and painters when necessary • Follow health and safety guidelines at all job sites • Maintain clear communication with supervisors, as well as with homeowners at job sites Responsibilities • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards • Load and unload building materials and equipment • Drive to different distributors to pick up building materials • Follow construction plans, blueprints, and instructions provided by coworkers/supervisors Required skills and qualifications • Experience in performing general labor and construction • Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation • Must be 18 or older • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally • Ability to work in a team setting and follow instructions • Ability to pass a drug screening Preferred skills and qualifications • Willingness to provide own tools for daily tasks • Flexibility with schedule This job is an independent contractor position (1099). We do not offer benefits and you will be responsible for payment of your taxes.
