Position: Part-Time After-School Substitute Teacher – in person Locations:  * Growing Minds Academy Start Date: February 2026  End Date: April 2026 tentative  Hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM On Call Hourly Rate: $40/hour  Position Overview: As a Part-Time After-School Teacher, you will provide enriching activities and academic support to students in a structured, safe, and fun environment. Your role will involve assisting with homework, leading educational activities, and creating a positive after-school experience. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and engage students in various activities. * Provide homework assistance and academic support. * Plan and implement educational and recreational activities. * Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Qualifications: Education Requirement (one of the following): * A minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited university or college, or * College Board’s SAT – Must score at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing, and a 530 on math, or * ETS Parapro Assessment – A passing score of 460 is required Preferred: * Bachelor’s of Science or Arts in Education * Valid Michigan teaching certificate and applicable endorsement(s) as required by the Michigan Department of Education * Meet highly qualified teacher requirements
