Job Title: Systems Engineer Company Overview: GovCIO LLC is a leading government IT solutions provider specializing in delivering innovative technology services to federal agencies. Role Overview: As a Systems Engineer at GovCIO, you will play a vital role in supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Maverick contract. This hybrid remote position based in Alexandria, VA involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems to ensure operational effectiveness and mission success. What You'll Do: - You will gather and analyze information concerning system capabilities and requirements. - You will design, develop, and integrate system solutions that meet USCG operational needs. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system performance. - You will troubleshoot and resolve system issues to maintain high availability. - You will document system configurations, processes, and procedures. - You will support system testing, validation, and deployment activities. - You will ensure compliance with security policies and government regulations. - You will provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - You have at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role. - You possess strong knowledge of system architecture, integration, and troubleshooting. - You have experience working with government contracts and understanding of federal regulations. - You are proficient in system documentation and technical writing. - You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with United States Coast Guard systems or similar military/government environments. - Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or relevant systems engineering credentials. - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and cybersecurity best practices. - Experience with hybrid remote work environments and collaboration tools.
