Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field and 5-8 years of experience in IT. Experience with Jira, X-ray, and AWS is required, along with excellent communication skills.
Overview GovCIO is seeking a QA Engineer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with manual testing in a federal government client environment. This customer-facing role will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will be fully remote within the United States. Responsibilities We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with government contracting experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience, a strong understanding of Amazon Webservices (AWS), Jira, and X-Ray is a plus. Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle. Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set. Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing. Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing. Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications. Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly developed code base. Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Working in iterative development cycles with cross-functional teams. Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field. 5-8 years of experience in IT 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Experience with Jira, X-ray, AWS Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban. Posted Pay Range The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
