Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Engineer at GovCIO, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting complex IT infrastructures. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of servers, workstations, and applications within a Windows Active Directory environment, supporting critical government operations. What You'll Do: - You will provide tier 3 operational support and administration for servers, workstations, and applications. - You will manage and maintain Windows Active Directory environments to ensure system integrity and security. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and patches. - You will monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to optimize operations. - You will document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. - You will support security compliance efforts and assist with audits. - You will mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. What You Bring: - You have at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role. - You possess an active Secret clearance. - You have strong expertise in Windows Server administration and Active Directory. - You are proficient in troubleshooting complex system and network issues. - You have experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning. - You demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell or Python. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Prior experience working in a government or defense environment.
