Role Overview: As a Senior Deployment Engineer at GovCIO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Maverick contract by leading the installation, configuration, and deployment of advanced technical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness of IT infrastructure in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. What You'll Do: - You will lead the installation and configuration of hardware and software systems to meet project specifications. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during deployment phases. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. - You will document deployment processes and provide detailed technical reports. - You will support system upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance. - You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. - You will ensure compliance with security protocols and government regulations throughout deployment. - You will participate in planning and strategy sessions to improve deployment methodologies. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in deployment engineering or related IT roles. - Strong expertise in system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. - Experience working in government or defense contracting environments. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with United States Coast Guard or other military IT systems. - Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
