Role Overview: As a Senior Computer User Support Specialist at GovCIO, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the IT environment for our Boston-based team. You will provide expert technical support, ensuring seamless operation of computer systems and network equipment to support mission-critical activities. What You'll Do: - You will install, configure, and maintain personal computers and network hardware. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. - You will provide on-site technical support to end-users, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution. - You will perform routine maintenance and upgrades to computer systems and network devices. - You will document technical procedures and support activities to maintain accurate records. - You will collaborate with IT teams to implement security protocols and system improvements. - You will assist in training users on new technologies and best practices. - You will participate in IT projects and contribute to continuous process improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer user support or a related IT role. - Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems. - Proficiency with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. - Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a complex environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support diverse user groups. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional. - Experience supporting government or highly regulated environments. - Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools. - Knowledge of cloud-based services and remote support technologies.
