Role Overview: As a Databricks Expert-Developer at GovCIO, you will play a critical role in supporting our client’s contract needs by leveraging your expertise in Databricks and big data frameworks. This hybrid remote position based in the Washington, DC area offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive data-driven decision-making. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate big data solutions. - You will optimize data workflows and improve system performance. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Databricks environments. - You will implement best practices for data security and compliance. - You will contribute to the development of documentation and training materials. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. - You will support client engagements by providing expert technical guidance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks development. - Strong knowledge of big data frameworks such as Apache Spark. - Proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL. - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with data governance and security protocols. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Prior experience supporting government or public sector clients. - Certifications related to Databricks or cloud technologies.
