***Remote opportunity with up to 25% travel. Position Overview The Systems Engineer 3 is responsible for the systems engineering, design, integration, and technical development of cloud-based services and solutions. This role requires a strong systems engineering background combined with hands-on experience designing and engineering scalable, reliable cloud environments. Responsibilities Design and engineer cloud-based services, systems, and infrastructure to meet mission and technical requirements. Develop and evaluate cloud system architectures, interfaces, and technical solutions. Apply systems engineering principles to requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, effectiveness analyses, and technical trade studies. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications. Engineer solutions that support scalability, reliability, performance, and the health of distributed cloud systems and virtual machines. Drive the stability, sustainability, and continuous improvement of cloud-based systems through engineering solutions and technical analysis. Utilize trends, metrics, and performance data to identify opportunities to improve existing frameworks, tools, processes, and cloud services. Troubleshoot and resolve systems functionality, performance, configuration, and integration issues. Work across hardware, software, networks, virtualized environments, and cloud services to define and integrate end-to-end solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience. Associate's degree (AS/AA) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience. High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. Certifications IAT-2 certification required. One or more cloud certifications required. Clearance Active Secret clearance required.
