We are seeking a Provider Manager for our Houston market to support, develop, and lead our provider team while maintaining clinical involvement in our urgent care clinics. Position Summary The Provider Manager plays a dual role, combining clinical practice with leadership and administrative responsibilities. This position supports our provider team through scheduling, coaching, reporting, and operational oversight. The Provider Manager will also provide primary care in clinic and via telemedicine to stay closely connected to our patients and clinical workflows. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care Provide primary care services in clinic and via telemedicine. Complete timely patient care, progress, and discharge notes. Maintain clinical logs and compliance checklists. Leadership & Team Support Manage provider scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across clinics. Oversee provider payroll activities. Support provider recruitment and participate in talent acquisition. Assist with new provider orientation, onboarding, and training. Coach providers on best practices, quality measures, and performance expectations. Partner with Medical Leadership and HR to deliver feedback and assist with performance reviews. Operational Excellence Track and maintain key metrics; prepare reports as requested. Oversee patient experience and assist with resolving patient concerns. Recommend and implement ideas that improve operational efficiency and overall performance. Positively represent Goodside Health in community and marketing initiatives. Skills & Abilities Strong and positive communication skills across provider teams. Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and enhance performance. Excellent follow-up, follow-through, and work ethic. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and guide others toward practical solutions. Comfortable managing ambiguity with strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in basic technology (Microsoft Office, EMR systems, internet applications). Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Education & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed clinician (Pediatric or Urgent Care experience preferred). Leadership or managerial experience strongly preferred. Compensation Clinical Hours: Paid at hourly clinical rate. Administrative Hours: Paid via monthly stipend (salary).
