Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties • Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. • Support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance. • Monitor and document vital signs and overall health status of residents, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams to meet the unique needs of each resident. • Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement. • Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely. • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing compassionate support to residents. Experience • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health care or assisted living is preferred. • Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is essential. • Knowledge of dementia care practices, Alzheimer’s care strategies, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued. • Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice care or long-term care is a plus. • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare providers. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating empathy and patience.
