Golden Road Brewing in Huntington Beach is HIRING!! We are looking to build a strong team for our busy summer months. If you love beer, a fast paced environment and pizza this is the place for you. We are currently hiring full-time Line Cooks and Prep Cooks JOB TITLE: Line Cook LOCATION: Golden Road Brewing, Huntington Beach POSITION TYPE: Seasonal Position REPORTS TO: Pub Manager PAY RANGE: $21-$22 per hour , based on experience ABOUT US: Located in Peter’s Landing at Sunset Beach, Huntington Harbor is the perfect place for a coastal hangout with friends and family. The outdoor patio is dog friendly facing the marina with a view of the mountains. Roll-up doors take advantage of the fresh breezes off the water, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. Our team at Golden Road Brewing, prides itself on providing exceptional food, beer, and service in a fun, fast-paced environment. POSITION OVERVIEW: At Golden Road Brewing, we take pride in serving high-quality food in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food, maintaining clean work space, and following food safety regulations. Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen including sauté station, plancha and salad stations. You should be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Follow recipes to prepare ingredients like vegetables, sauces, and herbs • Cook food using methods like grilling, frying, and sautéing • Ensure dishes meet quality and taste standards • Maintain cleanliness and organize their work station • Comply with food safety regulations • Work closely with the kitchen team QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 2 years of Line Cook experience • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment. • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. • Understanding of cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen operations • Food Handlers Certificate Required • ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred) • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for dishes by washing, cutting, and storing food. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare ingredients: Wash, peel, cut, and portion ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats • Measure ingredients: Measure ingredients and seasonings according to recipes • Store food: Store food properly to maintain its freshness and quality • Sanitize: Maintain a clean and organized workspace by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash • Follow recipes: Follow the specifications, recipes, and techniques of the company • Perform basic cooking: Perform basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food • Prepare simple dishes: Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees • Assist chefs: Assist chefs in real time by fetching ingredients and performing any additional tasks QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 2 years of prep cook experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment. • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. • Understanding of cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen operations • Food Handlers Certificate Required • ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred) • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
