The Business Development Liaison acts as a crucial connection between Golden Care and the broader community. This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong referral relationships with a diverse range of sources, including community partners and prospective clients, to drive growth in our non-medical home care services. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated networker with a genuine passion for assisting others, a thorough understanding of the senior care industry, and a results-oriented mindset aimed at consistently meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets. Responsibilities • Proactively establish, manage, and expand referral relationships with hospitals, senior centers, rehabilitation facilities, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, estate planners, fiduciaries, long-term care brokers, concierge physicians, geriatric care managers, and community organizations to generate new business opportunities. • Conduct consistent in-person outreach activities, including face-to-face visits, relationship check-ins, and timely follow-ups with referral partners to boost referrals and drive revenue growth. • Represent Golden Care at networking events, health fairs, and community outreach initiatives to promote our services, broaden professional connections, and enhance brand visibility. • Educate referral sources, potential clients, and their families about Golden Care’s non-medical home care services—such as companionship, personal care, and homemaking—using a consultative, solution-focused sales approach. • Consistently meet or exceed monthly outreach, referral, and conversion targets set by the Business Development Director, maintaining a motivated and purpose-driven attitude. • Accurately document all outreach efforts, referral discussions, lead statuses, and outcomes within the CRM system, ensuring detailed post-call notes are entered daily and promptly. • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in documentation, follow-up activities, and referral processes to facilitate precise reporting and seamless intake coordination. • Provide actionable feedback from the field regarding referral patterns, client needs, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities in order to support strategic business development initiatives. • Support the onboarding of new referral partners, ensuring a smooth, professional referral process from initial contact through the start of client care. • Stay well-informed about industry trends, community demands, and local market dynamics to identify new sales opportunities and reinforce existing relationships. • Collaborate effectively with the Golden Care team, fostering a positive and uplifting work environment. • Engage with the Business Development Director to leverage additional team resources for a collaborative approach to business, including inviting support for calls, luncheons, and events where added personnel could benefit client accounts. • Participate actively in the on-call rotation with other team members as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, healthcare, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of three years of experience in community outreach, sales, or business development, preferably within home care, healthcare, or senior services sectors. • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence key decision-makers, and achieve referral-based sales goals - with a proven history of success. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. • Openness to receiving feedback and coaching aimed at business growth and enhancing communication skills. • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up abilities. • Proficiency in CRM systems (WellSky preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to support frequent daily travel within San Diego County. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working directly with seniors or within the home care industry.
