Experience: 12+ years Only on W2 Remote - Occasional travel to Knoxville, TN JD- As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS + Networking), you will be responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud environments. This role demands deep expertise in cloud networking, infrastructure as code, and DevOps automation, with strong hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to enable cloud adoption, ensure compliance, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. ________________________________________ Your Impact • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and security across global environments. • Set up and automate cloud networking in AWS, including Security Groups, Network ACLs, and subnet management (CIDR/IP address management). • Automate infrastructure provisioning and integrate with service catalogs (e.g., ServiceNow, Backstage) to enable self-service application deployments. • Define and enforce network configuration best practices, including Security Groups vs. NACL usage. • Collaborate with platform and application engineering teams to capture requirements and deliver optimized cloud environments. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to achieve consistent, repeatable deployments. • Establish monitoring, logging, and bolthires optimization frameworks to improve cloud observability and efficiency. • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards (CIS benchmarks, GDPR, SOC 2). • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, supporting adoption of modern cloud and DevOps practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking and infrastructure issues with minimal downtime. • Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, recommending adoption where appropriate. ________________________________________ Skills & Experience • 12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and DevOps. • Proven expertise in AWS cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, routing, and peering. • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates). • Hands-on experience integrating infrastructure automation with Service Catalogs (ServiceNow, Backstage). • Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks. • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures. • Experience with bolthires/CD pipelines and automation frameworks for infrastructure delivery. • Strong understanding of cloud bolthires management and optimization strategies. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. • Strong leadership and communication skills; proven ability to mentor junior engineers. • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. ________________________________________ Set Yourself Apart With • Cloud certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or bolthires Professional Cloud Architect. • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments. • Expertise in cloud-native networking and security patterns. • Experience with big data or analytics solutions on cloud platforms.
