We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure our international trade activities adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our import/export compliance program, protecting the company from risk while facilitating the smooth movement of goods across borders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to make a significant impact on our global supply chain. Key Responsibilities Classification: Determine and assign accurate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), and Country of Origin designations for products. Screening: Conduct daily denied party screening (DPS) against OFAC, BIS, DDTC, and other government denied party lists for customers, suppliers, and partners. Documentation: Review and validate international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin to ensure accuracy and compliance. Recordkeeping: Maintain meticulous and auditable records of all import/export activities in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., 19 CFR 163). Audit & Support: Assist with internal audits and support external audits conducted by customs and other government agencies. Process Improvement: Identify and help implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce compliance risk within the global trade function. Research: Stay current on changes in international trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP, FTC) and assess their impact on the business. Training: Help develop and deliver basic trade compliance training to internal stakeholders (e.g., logistics, procurement, sales). Qualifications & Skills: Required Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience in an import/export compliance role. Proven experience with HTS and ECCN classification. Solid understanding of core import/export regulations (e.g., CBP, EAR, OFAC). High proficiency with denied party screening platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
