Full Description

System Administration Backup & Recovery AD, DNS, Network, Firewall, Servers, Linux, Group Policy, Switches Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes. Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Manage and update Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure Hybrid environment. Manage and maintain all software licenses. Work with in-house tools, backup software and hardware to perform operational archive, destruction, and restore tasks. Maintain archive throughput goals and meet customer SLAs on destruction and restore requests. Manage and maintain both physical and virtual Windows infrastructures including domain controllers, domain name servers, file print servers, share drives, etc. Maintenance of Group Policies, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL) and user/service accounts Validate current security posture and perform system configuration changes, as required or as directed by higher authority, to improve enterprise security Leverage Group Policy Objects, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tool and Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) to maintain required infrastructure security levels and system hardening Install and configure software, firmware, upgrades, and security updates/patches to maintain and secure Windows 10/11 and Server 2019/2022 operating systems and associated hardware Utilize system error logs, user-reported errors and diagnostics scans to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems Develop and enforce backup policies that align with business needs and industry best practices. Determine backup frequencies, retention periods, and storage locations. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Troubleshoot and resolve backup problems, escalating complex issues, as necessary. Experience with Office365, Exchange and Migration.
