Description The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for GPP’s products. This role involves overseeing complex engineering projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality requirements. Requirements Lead electrical design projects from concept through production, including schematics, PCB design, and system integration. Develop and review technical specifications, schematics, and product documentation. Conduct electrical testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and reliability. Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Support manufacturing and field teams with technical expertise during production and post-production phases. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; master’s preferred. 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in power systems, energy solutions, or electronics. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium, Eagle), simulation tools, and testing equipment. Strong knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, power electronics, and control systems. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Skills: Experience in renewable energy, battery systems, or home/commercial power solutions. Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, IEC, and IEEE. Experience with product certification processes and regulatory compliance. Work Environment: Office and lab-based with occasional on-site visits to manufacturing or testing facilities. Collaborative environment involving cross-functional engineering and production teams.
