About this opportunity Location: San Francisco Bay Area We are seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the delivery of complex workplace and corporate interior projects for major technology and innovation-focused clients. This senior, client-facing role is ideal for a professional with a strong project management background and extensive experience delivering modern, high-performance work environments that inspire collaboration and support evolving ways of working. As Project Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and commercial oversight across all stages of project delivery from business case development and design management through procurement and construction ensuring successful outcomes for both clients and the business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale workplace, fit-out, and repositioning projects on behalf of corporate and technology clients. • Act as the primary client interface, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders. • Provide strategic project leadership, overseeing multidisciplinary teams across design, cost management, engineering, and construction. • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensuring effective risk management, reporting, and decision-making. • Manage the commercial performance of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration. • Drive innovation and best practice in workplace delivery, with a focus on user experience, sustainability, and digital integration. • Support and mentor Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to enhance technical capability and leadership within the team. • Contribute to business development and client growth initiatives, supporting proposals and sector positioning. Who we’re looking for: Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills • 10+ years’ project management experience within a consultancy or client-side environment. • Proven track record in delivering workplace, corporate interiors, or technology-sector projects. • Strong understanding of design, construction, and procurement processes in commercial real estate. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Commercially focused with a strong grasp of budgeting, scheduling, and contract management. Qualifications • Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (or equivalent). • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MAPM, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
