Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Warehouse Facility & Systems Maintenance Leader located in Taylor, MI. Gleaners operates a 181,000 sq. ft. commercial warehouse and distribution center in Taylor, MI, along with leased facilities in Detroit and Howell. Gleaners receives, stores and distributes 50- 53 million pounds of nutritious, temperature-controlled and shelf stable food staples through the Taylor distribution center. Gleaners operations are AIB food safety certified. This leadership position will be responsible for managing the overall maintenance and functionality of the facility. This includes providing training to staff on facility use and safety protocols, and performing administrative tasks related to facility management. This hands on role involves ensuring that all systems within the facility are operating efficiently and safely. Key facility management areas: -Refrigeration System Operation & Maintenance -Facility Infrastructure Maintenance, including fire suppression and fuel island operations -Condensation Reduction -Facility Improvement & Optimization Qualifications • Minimum technical certification or associates degree required; bachelors degree preferred • 3+ years experience in ammonia refrigeration and facility maintenance desired. • RETA certification or equivalent desired. • Experience with building security systems, fire suppression equipment, fuel island operations, subcontractor management and facility improvement projects desired.
