Position Summary: The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and managing demand and supply plans to ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities. This role balances supply and demand through careful planning, forecasting, and collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams. The Supply Chain Planner plays a critical role in inventory optimization, service level improvements, and supporting overall business operations. Key Responsibilities: • Develop demand forecasts in collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance to drive supply planning decisions. • Create and manage supply plans that ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and stock outs. • Analyze historical data, market trends, and business inputs to refine forecasting models. • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure alignment with material availability and manufacturing capacity. • Monitor supply chain performance metrics (e.g., fill rate, inventory turns, forecast accuracy) and recommend improvements. • Use ERP and planning tools to maintain accurate planning data, schedules, and reports. • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply disruptions, demand spikes, or production delays. • Support new product introductions and end-of-life transitions with clear supply planning strategies. • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels across locations. • Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to align supply chain activities with business goals. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or inventory management. • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced planning tools. • Industry experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or construction is highly preferred Skills & Competencies: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain planning software. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally. • Knowledge of lean supply chain principles, and inventory optimization techniques. • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus. Physical Requirements: • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. The role may require occasional travel. • Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
