Full Description

Description: The Director of Absence Management is responsible for staying up to date on all aspects of leave policies and programs across the United States. The Director will provide expert guidance and support for both internal and external business partners with the goal of finding the best leave solution for our clients. Duties/Responsibilities: • Create and disseminate communication materials pertaining to different leave laws across the United States. • Manage exceptional relationships with our carrier partners. • Provide guidance and support to the sales teams across the US. • Act as the main point of contact for all leave management related inquiries. • Educate sales and brokers on carrier differences and best practices in their respective states. • Continually identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes. • Stay abreast of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in leave and accommodation laws. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Preferred degree in Human Resources or related field. • 2+ years experience in Human Resources and/or Absence required.
