About the Opportunity Girard Homes, a well-established and growing residential homebuilding company in the Columbia area is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Builder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality homes and managing projects from groundbreaking through completion.We are known for our commitment to craftsmanship, customer experience, and smooth, efficient builds — and we’re looking for someone who shares those same values.⸻ Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day construction operations for multiple new-home projects simultaneously. • Manage scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety to ensure homes are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel. • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude to effectively collaborate with clients, ensuring ongoing achievement of outstanding customer satisfaction throughout the construction process. • Conduct site walks, inspections, and project meetings throughout the construction process. • Communicate regularly with the internal team to update progress, anticipate challenges, and provide solutions. • Maintain strong working relationships with trade partners and ensure adherence to company standards and building codes. Qualifications • 3+ years of residential construction management, site supervision, or builder experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of construction processes, local building codes, and jobsite safety practices. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools is a plus.
