Second Shift Supervisor 2nd shift - Monday - Thursday 4:15 PM to 2:45 AM (with opportunities for overtime, Friday and Saturday ) Reports To: Plant Manager General SummaryResponsible for the supervision of the machine operators and daily operations in their department. Train new employees and perform various light repairs. Skills and Qualifications: • Must have experience in the operation of various machines, such as CNC's, Coin Presses and Dial's. • Ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures • Excellent problem-solving abilities • Previous experience as shift supervisor • Strong leadership and communication skills Principle Duties and Responsibilities • Train and assist operators in meeting production standards. • Assign duties to operators based on Production Priority List. • Operate various machines, such as CNC's, Coin Presses and Dial's. • At the end of the shift, collect production sheets and turn them into the office. • Automation – robots and ability to work through select alarms. • Train existing employees on new machines, new product and new procedures. • At the beginning of each shift, review inventory of all tooling on the board for use by the afternoon shift. • Make sure that there is adequate tooling to run the afternoon shift • Record starting inventory. • Monitor tooling and any abnormal tool wear throughout the shift. Working Conditions: Industrial plant setting; continuous exposure to noise. Safety protection required. (safety shoes, ear protection and safety glasses.) Must strive for continuous improvement.
