Job Summary As a Material Handler III, you will be responsible for the daily operations of STORES. Material Handler III’s primary role is to accurately receive and ship materials such as parts, oils, hazmat, and other items daily. Your role is to support the staff with a sense of urgency while carefully handling sensitive items such as aircraft parts and hazardous materials. You will have additional responsibilities like Material Handler III including but not limited to: Conducting monthly reports, spot checks, ability to train new employees, and increased accountability & communication with the Stores Supervisor. Essential Job Duties 1. Pick, pull, and pack aircraft parts. 2. Maintain hazardous materials when needed. 3. Inspect aircraft engine paperwork and parts daily. 4. Prepare items for shipping and receiving. 5. Support maintenance technicians need for parts, hazmat, and other materials. 6. Advise & report all discrepancies to the Supervisor on a daily basis. 7. Complete cycle counts and periodic inventory checks when needed. 8. Help train new employees in STORES efficiently when necessary. 9. Act as a shipper for international and domestic shipments 10. Assist with inventory reconciliation 11. Ability to use AMOS, Word, and Adobe DC efficiently 12. Act as a lead when the supervisor is not available 13. Safely operate an electric stand-up forklift and heavy-duty forklift. 14. Load and unload shipments when needed. Other Duties and Responsibilities 15. Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures 16. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals 17. Perform other duties as assigned 18. Ability to get along with others and lead by example. 19. Ability to remain calm and professional. 20. Ability to work safely and responsibly. 21. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Minimum Job Requirements 22. 2+ years’ experience handling and packaging in aviation materials 23. 2+ years working knowledge of ATA Spec 300 standards 24. The ability to identify any gaps in back to birth trace paperwork 25. Ability to point out discrepancies with 8130, EASA FORM 1, CAAC, and other types of tags 26. Knowledge of BER, Scrap, SV, RP, AR condition codes 27. Familiar with IPC manuals and understanding of how to find a part in the IPC manual 28. Experience with properly handling turbine aircraft parts, avionics, bearings, gears, IDGs, fan blades and more 29. Understand the difference between a repair order and a purchase order at a 145 Repair Station 30. FAA 145 Repair Station or ASA-100 experience a plus 31. Ability to use hand trucks, handheld tape dispensers, and utility knives, tensioners and crimpers for strapping crates. 32. Problem-solving skills and excellent work ethic. 33. Attention to detail and multitasking skills. 34. Ability to use Quantum Control and MS Office applications. Accountability Accountable to the Director of Supply, Procurement & Special Projects. Physical Requirements 35. Ability to lift over 50 pounds frequently. 36. Ability to stand and sit for long periods during a shift. 37. Ability to climb, kneel, and crawl when needed. 38.
