What you will do As a Sourcing Lead – Construction Services, you will lead and support client engagements across construction, capital projects, and facilities-related spend categories. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong expertise in construction sourcing, contract strategy, supplier negotiations, and stakeholder management. You will partner closely with client teams to translate complex project requirements into robust sourcing strategies, deliver measurable value, and drive best-in-class procurement outcomes. This role sits within our managed services practice and combines category depth, project leadership, and advisory capabilities. Client Engagement & Advisory Act as a primary sourcing partner for client stakeholders across construction and capital projects categories (e.g., civil works, EPC, MEP, fit-outs, infrastructure, facilities services). Translate business and project requirements into clear sourcing strategies, RFx documentation, and Statements of Work (SOWs) aligned to project timelines and risk profiles. Serve as a trusted advisor, applying market intelligence and commercial judgment to guide sourcing and supplier decisions. Strategic Sourcing & Execution Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives including market assessment, supplier shortlisting, RFIs/RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and supplier recommendations. Design and execute competitive bidding events for construction services, including multi-round negotiations and commercial optimization. Develop negotiation strategies focused on cost optimization, risk mitigation, contract compliance, and performance outcomes. Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and client governance requirements. Category & Market Expertise Conduct construction market analysis, cost benchmarking, and pricing baselines across labor, materials, and service components. Leverage architectural, civil, and construction documentation (drawings, takeoffs, benchmarks) to support cost analysis and supplier negotiations. Stay current on construction market trends, supply risks, labor dynamics, inflation indices, and regional cost drivers to inform sourcing decisions. Support development of category strategies for construction and facilities spend. Stakeholder & Project Management Collaborate with internal consulting teams, legal, finance, engineering, and project management stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Manage multiple sourcing workstreams simultaneously while meeting client deadlines and quality expectations. Support project kick-offs, governance cadence, and executive-level updates with clear, data-backed insights. Team & Practice Contribution Mentor junior team members and share best practices across construction sourcing engagements. Contribute to process improvement, playbooks, templates, and sourcing methodologies within the consulting practice. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and capability-building initiatives as required. Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additional Compensation: Eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance. What you should bring 5–8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement consulting, or category management with significant exposure to construction or capital projects spend. Proven experience sourcing categories such as construction services, EPC, MEP, civil works, facilities management, or infrastructure services. Strong understanding of construction contracting models (lump sum, BOQ, unit rate, cost-plus, EPC, framework agreements). Demonstrated success in complex commercial negotiations and supplier management. Exposure to digital sourcing tools or procurement platforms. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Experience supporting global or multi-site construction programs. Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders. Strong analytical capability to develop cost models, baselines, and sourcing recommendations. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
