Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Data Scientist in Herndon, VA or DC. Responsibilities We are seeking a highly versatile data science/data engineer to support a diverse data integration team responsible for establishing common data governance across a large government customer. This role is key to ensuring data consistency and enabling various data providers to deliver high-quality data. Successful candidates require a strong foundation in both data engineering and data science principles. This job requires the applicant to be successful working individually and with a small group. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly required to start Python (5+ years) Experience with data visualization and manipulation, including large datasets. Experience manipulating and managing data in a PostgreSQL (or similar) database (3+ years) Experience summarizing data in dashboard tools such as tableau, grafana, or custom-built applications Desired Qualifications: Experience with data management tools such as Apache Airflow or NiFi Experience with deploying and managing data workflows in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, etc SQL, SPARQL or other relational database query language What you can expect from us BCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
