Job Title - Platform Engineer-Networking Location - Eagan, MN (100% remote) Duration - 12+ months Rate - DOE U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. JOB DESCRIPTION Platform Engineer -- Network, Technology Service Management We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Global Platform Operations team. As Platform Engineer you will be part of the core Platform Operations function that is responsible for security, delivery, and availability of our platform. You will also be expected to participate in the on-call rotation which supports our maintenance, scheduled work, support and release/deployment requirements. This role is focused on supporting the delivery and service improvement of a leading software platform; prior experience working for a SaaS provider is desirable. Mandatory skills: • Have an overall experience of around 8+ years in network Switching & Routing with Cisco and Dell switches and Cisco ASA firewalls. • Network expertise - hands-on with Dell, Cisco switches • Have expertise in network infrastructure, able to produce data flow diagrams, perform a gap analysis and suggest appropriate holistic improvements to enhance security. • Have experience working with three-tier web applications, running in public and/or private cloud. • Knowledge on ZScaler, Palo Alto, Checkpoint firewall • Have experience with Azure. • Have experience with Cloud monitoring tools like Datadog • Possess strong knowledge of current technologies, with proficiency in the areas of automation, DevOps, cloud-native architecture, and system monitoring. • Knowledge on High Density Virtualization / Hyper-V/ VMware • Storage (SAN/NAS) Remote Skills: Automation, CISCO PIX Firewall, Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance), Cisco Switches, Cloud Architecture, Cloud Computing, Dell Computers, DevOps, Gap Analysis, Internet Application, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows Azure, Network Administration/Management, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Network Routing, Network Switching, On Call, Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Software as a Service (SaaS), Storage Area Network (SAN), Technical Leadership, VMWare, Virtualization About the Company: Georgia Tek Systems
