Full Description

Silvergate Prep is currently seeking a full time in person tutor for 35 hrs a week. This is a seasonal 10-month position. Job Description: As tutor, you will provide educational assistance in a small group setting to youth and adolescents on homebound instruction with the guidance of a New Jersey certified teacher. This position will require you to communicate and work collaboratively with students’ guidance counselors and classroom teachers to ensure a smooth transition back to school for each student. Job Goal: To ensure that students enrolled in GenPsych Partial Day Program are provided with an ongoing educational support. Performance Duties: Student Management • Facilitates a positive and orderly environment for learning. • Assists with de-escalation/ coping skills for students in need. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree. • Has worked with children/ special needs population.
