• * This is an in-office position and is based near the New Hampshire border** The role will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities for a manufacturing organization. This role manages Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, and General Ledger functions while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. The Controller partners closely with operations, supply chain, HR, auditors, banks, and legal advisors to support accurate financial management, business planning, and system improvements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, commissions, accruals, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and sales reconciliation. • Manage and develop the accounting team, including staffing, training, and performance management. • Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial analysis and liquidity reporting. • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, variance analysis, and management presentations. • Ensure accurate inventory valuation, fixed asset accounting, ROI analysis, and physical inventory counts. • Oversee multi-state tax compliance, sales tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors. • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, and evolving accounting standards. • Support ERP system administration, upgrades, reporting enhancements, and cross-functional training. • Provide financial analysis, ad hoc reporting, and business insights to senior leadership. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility. • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting. • Experience with NetSuite ERP in a manufacturing environment.
