Role Overview: As a Sr. Data Center Technician on the day shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the data center infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of the network systems that power our client’s global professional platform. What You'll Do: - You will install, configure, and maintain data center hardware including servers, storage devices, and networking equipment. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will document procedures, configurations, and incidents accurately for knowledge sharing and compliance. - You will monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity to safeguard equipment. - You will adhere to safety protocols and data center security policies at all times. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations or a similar technical role. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking fundamentals, and storage systems. - Proficiency with data center management tools and monitoring software. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Familiarity with scripting or automation tools to streamline operations. - Previous experience working in a large-scale, high-availability data center.
