Job Title: Sr. Data Center Technician - Day Company Overview: Genesis10 is a leading IT staffing and consulting firm dedicated to connecting top talent with innovative companies. Role Overview: As a Sr. Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the data center infrastructure for one of the world’s largest professional networks. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of data center operations during the day shift. What You'll Do: - You will install, configure, and maintain data center hardware and network equipment. - You will monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues. - You will perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal system functionality. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and initiatives. - You will document procedures, incidents, and resolutions to maintain accurate records. - You will ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the data center. - You will provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other staff. What You Bring: - You bring at least 5 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical field. - You have strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards. - You possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - You have experience working with data center monitoring tools and ticketing systems. - You demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software. - Previous experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks.
