Role Overview: As a Sr. Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of a major professional networking platform. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of data center operations during the day shift. What You'll Do: - You will install, configure, and maintain data center hardware and network equipment. - You will monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. - You will perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal operation. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and initiatives. - You will document procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations. - You will respond promptly to incidents and provide technical support to resolve problems. - You will ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the data center. What You Bring: - You have at least 5 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical field. - You possess strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards. - You are proficient with monitoring tools and diagnostic software. - You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with large-scale professional networking platforms. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Previous experience in a contract or consulting role.
