Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Genesis10, you will play a critical role in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This hybrid contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team in Brookfield, WI, balancing onsite collaboration with remote flexibility. What You'll Do: - You will implement and maintain network infrastructure devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. - You will administer network configurations and monitor network performance to ensure reliability. - You will troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and upgrades. - You will document network configurations, procedures, and changes accurately. - You will ensure network security protocols are followed and assist in vulnerability assessments. - You will provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff. - You will stay updated on emerging network technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. - Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management. - Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. - Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco or similar network devices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. - Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. - Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies. - Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages. - Previous experience working in a hybrid work environment.
